The senior project is an opportunity for students to identify a topic or essential question of personal interest, to explore that topic, and thoughtfully share an understanding of the subject with others. It may build on work that is done in a class, on skills that have been developed, interests discovered, or a career one wishes to investigate. The project must exceed any classroom research assignment. Students are required to create something new; that is, to incorporate a synthesis component, as well as connect with an outside expert in the area of interest, and provide evidence of an interview.
