2010 Service Learning Project This semester Newark High School’s Sociology class created a 25 Year Supplement Book that was published in coordination with the 175th anniversary of the founding of Newark. Village officials decided that they would like a book to document the events between 1985-2010. Newark High School’s sociology class was lucky to be given the opportunity to design this book. From cover to cover, every student in the class had a part in creating the 96 page book. This project was a great opportunity for students to experience service learning while creating a published work that thousands will enjoy for generations to come.
